Mexican singer and composer Armando Manzanero has passed away following a battle with Covid. The music star was aged 85 when he passed away on Monday after spending almost two weeks in hospital.
Mexican newspaper El Universal reported that the singer had suffered a heart attack while being treated at a hospital in Mexico City.
Armando's manager, Laura Blum, has reportedly stated the singer's death was caused by complications from a kidney problem. Armando was diagnosed with coronavirus on December 17 and hospitalised on December 23 when his condition worsened.
