A South Ayrshire primary school has closed after a coronavirus outbreak. Girvan Primary School will shut down for a week as staff deal with a surge in cases.A risk assessment was carried out the school after COVID-19 was identified.
It is understood children and staff were sent home today and the school will not reopen again until next Tuesday (November 16) but that decision will lie with South Ayrshire Council.
