schools were allowed to reopen from August 11. Schools were among the first organisations to close their doors in March as the number of coronavirus cases in Scotland spiked.
But health officials and experts are satisfied that the country is making good progress in the fight against Covid-19 and have allowed children to return to the classroom full-time.
However, ahead of the reopenings, the Daily Record’s Back to School Survey found that three quarters of Scots were not convinced and believed that schools were unsafe for pupils to return to.
There were also fears that the reopening of schools could potentially result in further outbreaks of the virus elsewhere. As schools enter into their third week of reopening, photos have since emerged.
