Telly classic Talking Heads is being revived after 22 years. And this time a host of Hollywood stars has signed up to read the much-loved monologues.
The A-listers taking part include Martin Freeman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Imelda Staunton. Other stars include Jodie Comer, Sarah Lancashire and Maxine Peake.
Ten of the original stories penned by Alan Bennett are being re-made alongside two new ones. The playwright said: “In such difficult circumstances, that the BBC should choose to remount both series of Talking Heads, and produce two entirely new ones, is a comfort and a huge compliment. “I hope a new generation of actors will get and give as much pleasure as we did 20 and 30 years ago.” Filming for the new series for BBC One starts
