Birmingham now has the highest number of coronavirus cases anywhere in the country outside of London. London, branded a coronavirus hotspot, has 3,919 positive cases.
In the latest figures released by Public Health England and dated Thursday March 26, it was revealed that Birmingham now has 290 cases of Covid-19.
Ranked by upper tier local authorities in England outside of the capital, Hampshire is behind Birmingham with 267 cases. This is followed by Sheffield where the number of cases rose to 240, the highest in Yorkshire.
Other major cities have fewer people who have tested positive, with 72 confirmed cases in Liverpool, 67 in Leeds, 55 in Manchester and just four in Hull. Have you or a family member been affected by coronavirus?
