A mum has told of her heartbreak after her four-year-old son died suddenly after going to his bedroom to watch TV. David George, of Royston Road, Glasgow, had been out playing in the garden with his brother and sister Kian, 7, and Bonnie, 5, before passing away on April 15.

He went indoors earlier than the others because he wanted to watch his favourite film, Transformers, the Daily Record reports.

Dad Ian George, 51, who later went to check on his little boy, found him unconscious on his bed at around 4pm and immediately called 999 before trying to revive him.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
