GAA officials are still planning to hold the All-Ireland inter-county Championships in 2020. A series of conference calls between senior Croke Park bosses and county chairpersons were held this morning.
The calls followed much recent speculation from various stakeholders, including managers, referees, players and officials, as to whether the 2020 season should be abandoned.
However, RTÉ Sport has learned that the target remains to be in a position to start the All-Ireland Championships in September or October.
It's expected that all GAA activity will be grounded until 20 July. After that, training will resume at club level – providing officials are satisfied that it is safe to do so.
