Health chiefs in Bury say the town is 'nowhere near out of the woods' in the fight against coronavirus. A total of 136 people have died from Covid-19 in Bury, and residents are being warned that the town is now at a 'critical stage' in managing the pandemic.
As lockdown is gradually eased, people are being urged to keep following the Government's safety guidelines to prevent a fresh surge in infections.
The warning comes following reports that the infection rate - otherwise known as the R rate - in Bury is rapidly falling, which the council says it is 'extremely concerned' by.
