A Cambuslang couple have told of their desperate bid to return home from a holiday on Cape Verde, a group of islands off the west coast of Africa, as the coronavirus crisis escalated.Arin Ferguson and Matthew Miller had travelled there last month to spend a fortnight exploring and relaxing.

But when the Drumsagard couple tried to return home they were faced with a catalogue of problems, including being denied access to flights and watching as other travellers bribed their way onto planes.
