WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are “hopeful” that cruise lines will be allowed to begin operating by mid-summer, according to U.S.
Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. Buttigieg made the comment during a White House news briefing on Friday. “I know the CDC is hopeful that a lot of these operators will be in a position to be sailing by mid-summer,” the transportation secretary said. “Laying out these specific kind of gates that they (the cruise lines) need to get through is a very important step toward that.” [TRENDING: Truck driver accused of kidnapping women | GROSS: World’s longest fingernails | Fla.
