A choir made up of NHS heroes and those who have lost loved ones to the coronavirus pandemic has recorded a poignant song to raise much-needed funds for the health service.

The Buskerteers is made up of 150 people - many of who have friends and family working in the health service - and members recorded themselves performing in their own homes.

The emotional track, Stand By Me, aims to raise £1million for NHS Charities Together’s Covid-19 appeal. Group leader Andrew Small, who started the Essex choir in January, then produced and released the video on the group’s Facebook page - where it’s already had more than 2,000 shares and raised £20,000 in just five days.
