Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish tonight backs the Mirror's campaign to Give NHS Heroes A Medal for their bravery on the coronavirus frontline.
The Scottish former striker, who was diagnosed with the disease while being treated in hospital for an infection earlier this month, said: "The staff of the NHS have been a shining example to the whole population in their caring, professionalism and dedication of the sufferers of Covid-19. “They deserve all the recognition they have received for the fantastic work they are doing. “They all deserve a medal." Sir Kenny, 69, was discharged from hospital having suffered no symptoms.
