B.C. health officials will provide their latest update on the novel coronavirus in the province on Saturday. Provincial health officer Dr.
Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix are set to begin speaking at 12 p.m. PT. As of Friday evening, B.C. is home to 792 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 16 of whom have since died.
The number of people in hospital because of the virus climbed to 73 on Friday. The majority of the deaths in B.C. so far have been linked to North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley Care Centre.
