Coronavirus cases in India climb to 834, death toll at 19

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed 800-mark today. More than 80 coronavirus patients were diagnosed on Friday, taking the total COVID-19 cases in the country to 834.

The death toll has climbed to 19, according to health ministry. Deaths have been reported from Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

There are 748 active coronavirus cases in the country. As many as 66 patients were cured or discharged, health ministry reported.

Maharashtra is the worst affected state with more than 150 confirmed coronavirus cases. Mumbai witnessed four deaths related to COVID-19 infection.
