A distraught paramedic says he was unable to buy food for his family ahead of a 12-hour shift - and called on the public to "spare a thought" for others as they stockpile.
The NHS worker called on the public to calm down, with health service workers rushed off their feet to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
He told the Liverpool Echo it is leaving key workers unable to get food during the brief moments they have away from their crucial work.
