He said the “key side effects” seen so far were mild to moderate pain in the injection site for a few days, while some of the participants had a slight fever for a similar period.

In an interview on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show, Proffessor Sahin said the side effects of the vaccine were not enough to stop the study.
