Coronavirus 'has not gone away and families should be responsible at Christmas'

People should "think carefully" about who they meet and how far they travel over Christmas, the First Minister of Wales has said.

Mark Drakeford said families should use the relaxation of coronavirus restrictions "sensibly and responsibly" . His comments came after the Government confirmed three households will be able to bubble together between December 23 and 27 inclusive, in a festive relaxation of the coronavirus rules.

Mr Drakeford told BBC Breakfast: "Coronavirus has not gone away and although Christmas is a very special time and it was important to give people a sense that there was some modest relaxation, it's still relaxation to be used carefully and responsibly."
