Yesterday marked a big day for cannabis-lovers around the world. The infamous 4/20 event, where weed smokers gather together to puff on the class-B drug, takes place on April 20 every year (they use the American dating system).
However, because of the coronavirus lockdown in the UK - and in many other countries worldwide - this usual act of communal smoking did not take place.
So, how has the cannabis industry, including the legal CBD trade, been affected by coronavirus? Apparently, it’s not all bad, Emma Privey, founder of cannabis beauty brand Her Royal Hempress, told the Huffington Post.
She said that as people use weed to cope with stress, the crisis has made many smokers feel validated in their belief that the drug is an essential.
