Maharashtra reported five fresh cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of coronavirus patients in the state to 225. Two people had tested positive for novel coronavirus in Pune while one fresh case was reported from Mumbai.
Two in Buldhana were diagnosed with COVID-19 infection. The death toll from the new coronavirus in Maharashtra rose to 11 on Monday with three more people succumbing to infection.
Mumbai, the financial capital of India, is the worst affected by the COVID-19 infection. More than 90 people has so far confirmed positive with coronavirus in Mumbai.
COVID-19 has infected as many as 45 people from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and rural area. A total of 39 COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered from the disease,
