The deadly coronavirus may have already infected more than 1.7 million Brits, according to new NHS data. NHS 111 online date shows thousands of people were registered as "potential cases" in phone and web assessments.
The Sun reports, since March 18, nearly 1.5 million people had registered online with symptoms that could fit with the virus, with another 243,543 assessments made through NHS 111 and 999 calls.
However, it is unclear whether calls and online assessments are individual people – Brits could have used more than one channel to report their symptoms.
