The National Trust has announced that it will be closing its parks and gardens in a bid to help promote social distancing amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
The government's guidance on social distancing urges people to stay at home as much as possible, and if they must go out, to try and stay at least two metres away from other people.
Last week the National Trust revealed it was planning to keep parks and gardens open for free for members of the public who wanted to get some fresh air.
However, this weekend it announced a change of plan, in a bid to discourage people from spending time in areas with other members of the public.
