The government of Alberta is working to collect and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) to non-Alberta Health Services sites and workers as quickly as possible.

Alberta’s health minister Tyler Shandro said on Saturday that the province’s team of healthcare experts is “very confident in the modelling data and in the expected need for PPE and ventilators.” He said that they will be sending N95 and procedural masks, gloves, goggles and ventilators to Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia, as the province has enough PPE to meet the demand of the healthcare system when the virus reaches its peak.
