U.S. President Donald Trump honoured truck drivers in his country for the work they’ve been doing during the COVID-19 pandemic, driving personal protective equipment, hand sanitizer, groceries and other items to people who need it.

He called them the “foot soldiers” carrying the U.S. to “victory” over the novel coronavirus, with Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao calling them “America’s heroes.”.
