Hundreds of schools in England and Wales are being urged to sign up to a new supermarket scheme that will give parents vouchers to claim free school meals at their local supermarket.
The initiative is part of emergency measures being put in place during the coronavirus outbreak - which has resulted in schools being closed across the country.
Under the scheme, children in receipt of free school means will be sent a £15 coupon that families can redeem at their local supermarket.
It's designed to support low income households who may struggle to afford the additional costs associated with having their children home full time during the outbreak.
