Two police officers have turned up at a local neighbourhood with a loudspeaker to performed a surprise street dance as residents remained quarantined at their homes for the third week.

PC Dave Cave and PCSO Tim Scott drove up to Glebe Road, in Humberston, to brighten people’s spirits throughout the lockdown.

Videos taken by locals show the officers placing two massive loudspeakers onto the middle of a private drive and playing hit songs Dance Monkey by Tones and I and Bad Boys from COPS.

Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson said during a press conference Friday that the decision to eliminate all COVID-19 restrictions by mid-March was based on modelling data and encouraging hospitalization trends. She added that the government “does not make decisions that are this important to Manitobans based on protests,” referring to the anti-mandate protests taking place outside the legislative building, as well as near the Canada-U.S.
