The Mental Welfare Commission is looking into legal concerns raised after patients were discharged from hospitals into care homes during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.The report will examine.the decision-making for those who lacked capacity before being transported to facilities between March to May 2020.Last month Public Health Scotland said it "cannot rule out" a link between hospital discharges and Covid-19 outbreaks in care homes, with nearly a third of those experiencing an outbreak.It comes as the Scottish Government announced yesterday a spike in cases has been recorded with 394 new cases in the last 24 hours.More than 1,800 Scottish nurses and midwives re-registered with the profession in response to the coronavirus.
