A loving son paid his mum a surprise, Love Actually-style visit - when he stood outside her care home window with messages written on pieces of cardboard.
Simon Edwards, 56, visits his 89-year-old mother Brenda Larman every other day at her care home. But, due to the current restrictions on non-essential visits amid coronavirus fears, Simon is currently unable to go into the care home to see his mum.
But that hasn't stopped him visiting - as he turned up outside Elizabeth House in Benfleet, Essex, last Sunday, holding two large pieces of cardboard with handwritten messages on them.
In a scene akin to the Love Actually scene, made famous by Kiera Knightley and Andrew Lincoln, Simon's messages read: "Keep the good work up, miss you all." An
