A coronavirus survival diary written by the wife of a man who felt he had been "hit by a train" has offered hope to hundreds.
Paul Jones, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, was struck down by the disease last month. His worried wife Gerry cared for him at their home after the retired microbiologist refused to take him to hospital.
She hasn't caught the deadly virus but recorded the full experience for them both in a diary which was originally written for a Covid-19 Cheltenham page on Facebook.
Paul, 71, told Gloucestershire Live : “It was like being hit by a train. You lose all your energy. You’re burning up all the time. “You just have to fight your way through it.
