Coronavirus vaccine booking has changed in Salford - everyone over 75 can get an appointment and 'do not have to wait for invite'

Until yesterday, the health body was only inviting those aged 80 and over for a Covid-19 vaccine administered locally, rather than in one of the major vaccine centres, such as the Etihad Stadium.Now, 'as the CCG is reaching the end of sending out invites to this group', the invitation to book a vaccine appointment has been extended to those aged 75 and over in the borough.The health board added that the eligible patients 'do not necessarily have to wait for their personal invitation' to book an appointment.Patients can simply go straight to the online booking system and find an appointment at a local community vaccination site.If the personal invite has not arrived already for local patients eligible.
