Corrie star Andy Whyment reflects on ‘tough week’ as soap completely rewrites scripts

Coronation Street is still filming amid the global health crisis with ITV confirming there’ll be enough episodes to get us to the summer.

But things have had to be massively reworked to fit with government guidelines. Actors over 70 have been written out, kissing has been disbanded and now some of the cast have had to self isolate.

In fact, it’s gotten so bad that Corrie bosses have been forced to completely rewrite scripts. Well, that’s according to Andy Whyment who plays Kirk Sutherland on the soap.
