Couple married for 67 years reunited after months apart during Covid-19 pandemic

A couple married for 67 years are now able to hold hands and hug once more after they were moved into the same care home. Bob, 90, and Mary Owen, 88, were separated for five months as the last time Bob was able to see his wife was on August 19 last year.

Mary has lived at Doulton Court Care Home in Sutton-on-Sea for more than seven years, reports Nottinghamshire Live. The couple had to make do with video calls and socially-distanced visits but desperately missed being able to hold hands and hug.

Bob moved into the care home earlier this month so he could be reunited with his wife. He said: "I have missed Mary so, so much and I’m so happy that we can be together again at last.” The couple, originally from Nottingham, first met at a dance at
