With sunlight streaming down and a cat lazing on the front door step, at first glance Shena and Ian Fairless' home seems like any other country cottage.
Step through the side gate of the rural idyll and inquisitive turkeys Tammy and Tessa and a three legged cat called Bilben are keen to say hello.
But the garden, formerly a beautiful lawn boasting views over the undulating countryside, tells a different story. It is surrounded by high fencing and packed with shelters housing ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and cockerels.
For Shena and Ian's three bedroom house doubles as the Pudz Animal Sanctuary, home to 160 animals in need. At night, the couple are joined in the bedroom by a cockatiel and a tank full of fish.
