NHS Lanarkshire has set up an assessment centre in Airdrie for patients with suspected and confirmed coronavirus Covid-19.The facility, at Airdrie health centre on Graham Street, is only for patients who have been asked to attend following a phone triage process – with health board officials saying: “It’s extremely important that people do not turn up without an appointment.”Patients who have coronavirus symptoms which have lasted more than a week or which have become worse, including increased shortness of breath, are asked to call NHS 24 on 111; and if appropriate, will receive a call back from a local clinician to decide the best course of treatment.This may be local support, an appointment at an NHS Lanarkshire assessment centre in
