ERNAKULAM : In an embarrassing development for Kerala government, a top bureaucrat, Anupam Mishra, has reportedly jumped his home quarantine over the coronavirus scare and has fled the state.
Mishra is a civil servant and Sub-Collector of Kollam district. He was under 14 days mandatory home quarantine from 19 March on account of his recent international travel.
His home was found locked from outside by a village-level monitoring team and a superior officer said his cell tower was last traced to Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, although his native state is Rajasthan, reported the website of regional newspaper Malayala Manorama.
