With the 10-day isolation period currently still in place for close contacts of positive cases, thousands of children are once again at home and learning remotely.

Many youngsters have faced numerous rounds of isolation this academic year and it's looking like many will spend the final weeks of term learning remotely.

The government is looking set to scrap the isolation rules and bubbles from July 19, but with most schools breaking up for summer then, or days later, it will make little difference to the classroom time they have lost. RE
