Crocodile seen outside Cancun hotel as predators 'take back control' of hotspots

Incredible footage captures how crocodiles, jaguars and sea turtles are "taking back control" of two Mexican resorts as residents were ordered to stay home following a coronavirus lockdown.

In one clip, which has been viewed more than 120,000 times on Facebook, a 3-foot-long crocodile is seen swimming along a canal outside the residencies in the coastal resort of Cancun, Mexico.

A man is heard saying in the background: "It is gigantic!" Another video shows an adventurous jaguar walking along a deserted street in the city at night.

Local media reported that the wild cat was spotted inside the complex of the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa in Tulum.
