Cruise ship passengers travelling with P&O Cruises will have to undergo "rigorous" medical tests before they will be allowed to board when sailing resumes, the company said.
The cruise line, the biggest in the UK, said it is planning to introduce a series of "stringent measures" to ensure it obeys international health guidelines when it restarts operations once the coronavirus pandemic recedes.
Other changes the company is considering include reducing the capacity of ships, scrapping self-service buffets and implementing one-way systems on board.
It comes after easyJet said they expect to keep middle seats empty on planes when flights resume to enable social distancing.
