Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out over JK Rowling's recent comments on gender identity, stating that "transgender women are women".The Harry Potter actor also said he hopes the comments made on the subject by the famed author won't "taint" the series for fans.

His statement came after Rowling, who previously divided fans by defending a woman who lost her job over voicing her anti-trans opinions on social media, tweeted about an article entitled "Creating a more equal post COVID-19 world for people who menstruate".
