The South African-based businessman has officially stepped down as chairman after previously outlining his intentions to move on during the club's AGM.But a lot has changed in a few short months with King facing a battle with his own business empire amid the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.Douglas Park will now take up the reins as interim chairman until a permanent appointment is made for the Premiership side.
King's forthright approach was adored by large swathes of Rangers supporters and the Ibrox board will surely consider another big character as the club's next figureheard.
