Donald Trump has tested positive for coronavirus and gone into quarantine with wife Melania. The US President took to Twitter to announce he and the First Lady "will get through this TOGETHER!" having been diagnosed with the potentially deadly virus.

He added: "We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately." It was reported earlier on Thursday evening that Hope Hicks, an inner-circle confidant of Trump's had developed symptoms and taken a test while travelling on Air Force One back from a rally in Minnesota on Wednesday night.
