A strategy for the sequenced roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines will be considered by Cabinet later today. Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly will outline the categories of people who will be first to be inoculated.
The Cabinet memo being brought by Mr Donnelly is based on a report from the Department of Health and the State's National Immunisation Advisory Committee.
It is expected to outline the groups of people to be among the first to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. They will include adults over 65 in long-term care facilities, healthcare workers with direct contact to Covid-19 patients, and people in the general population who are over 70 years old.
