Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly will update the Dáil this morning about the latest Covid-19 vaccination roll-out plans and outline the latest information about the continued impact of the cyber attack on Health Service Executive services after almost two weeks.
Chief Medical Dr Tony Holohan informed the HSE just over ten days ago about the latest advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Council that people aged in their 40s could possibly choose to receive the single-shot Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine or the two-dose AstraZeneca vaccine.
NIAC said there were strict conditions about the associated risks of very rare blood clots being fully understood and accepted by recipients.
