Eamonn Holmes ' comments about 5G causing coronavirus have been blasted by Ofcom as ill-judged. The broadcasting watchdog had launched an investigation into the comments made by the presenter on This Morning earlier this month after more than 400 viewers complained.

Ofcom say they have now issued guidance to ITV. Ofcom said the comments were "ill-judged" and "we have issued guidance to ITV and its presenters".

The body also said it was sanctioning ESTV after an interview with David Icke was shown on London Live, which included "potentially harmful content about the coronavirus pandemic", saying the claims made during his 80-minute interview went "largely unchallenged and lacked the support of any scientific, or other, evidence".
