Actress Maisie Smith has opened up about battling body dysmorphia as a teenager in her latest self-made song. The EastEnders star, 18, who often shows off her impressive vocal skills, penned a song about wishing she was thinner when she was just 13 years old.
Sharing the homemade clip on social media, Maisie admitted in the lyrics that she still hadn't shaken off her body-conscious feelings. "If you’re feeling particularly down at the moment - don’t worry you’re not alone," she wrote in her caption alongside the video. "It’s a scary time rn and tbh my anxiety is hitting the roof.
Been feeling a bit trapped in my thoughts so I wrote this yesterday to heal my mind. I am so thankful to be home and well I hope we all come out of this together;
