FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Authorities in Bucks County say they are investigating an attempted child luring that took place late last week. Falls Township police say the incident occurred Friday between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.Police say a female Pennsbury High School Student told them she was walking home on the 100 block of South Queen Anne Drive when she was approached by a man in a vehicle. The girl stated that the man repeatedly asked her if she needed a ride, but she refused.

Brian Whitted, 56, plead guilty in connection to the fatal overdose of a 59-year-old in 2018.

PHILADELPHIA - Minutes after an alleged robbery turned deadly in Olney, officers were called to another fatal shooting in the area. According to police, 35th District officers responded around 1:30 a.m. Officers were handling the robbery case at the intersection of N 5th Street and W Olney Avenue when they heard gunshots coming from the intersection of N 5th Street and W Champlost Avenue, police say. According to authorities, additional units responded to the 6000 block of N 5th Street and found a shooting victim inside of a parked car. Police say a man was slumped in the driver's seat of an Infiniti with multiple bullet holes in the driver's side window. The driver, a 49-year-old man, was unresponsive and police say he was shot once in the face and several times in the torso. Authorities say medics transported him to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:10 a.m. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says the man was shot while sitting in the driver's seat because the car was hit by gunfire more than 10 times. Police are investigating a shooting in Olney that left one man dead.  A total of 28 spent shell casings were found just outside of the vehicle, Small says. Investigators say the bullets were fired from two separate caliber semi-automatic guns. Small says when the victim was taken to the hospital, a gun was found on his waistband. "It appears that although he had a gun, it appears that he never had a chance to use that weapon because it was still in his waistband when he arrived at the hospital," Small says. According to police, several cameras were active in the area during the time of the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing and active. ___MORE LOCAL HEADLINES___DOWNLOAD: FOX 29 NEWS

PHILADELPHIA - A suspected robber was shot and killed early Tuesday morning after a man took his gun and shot him with it, police say. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, around 1 a.m., 35th district officers responded to reports of two shooting victims in the smoke shop on the 5300 block of 5th Street. As officers were responding to that call, they received another call for a shooting victim inside of a car on W Olney Avenue, police say. Authorities say when officers responded to the smoke shop, no victims were inside, but it was clear there was a shooting scene due to spent shell casings and blood. Officers found an unresponsive shooting victim in the passenger seat of a Toyota with gunshot wounds to the groin and thigh and he was pronounced dead around 1:15 a.m., Small says. Police say the Toyota the man was in was stolen last week from the 24th District. Investigators say they learned there was a robbery in the smoke shop, with the deceased shooting victim matching the description of the robber. "We believe while that robbery was taking place someone fired shots striking the perpetrator who was the male inside the Toyota who was pronounced dead," Small says. "That's our preliminary information." Philadelphia police are investigating after a shooting at a smoke shop in Olney.  Police also say another shooting victim, a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the shoulder, showed up at the hospital. According to authorities, he was also shot inside the smoke shop on 5th Street. "At this point, we believe there was a robbery inside the smoke shop.

Moore Avenue just before 10 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Two teenagers showed up to a Philadelphia hospital after police say they were both shot Monday night in Point Breeze. According to investigators a 17-year-old boy and girl were driven to Methodist Hospital by private vehicle after they were shot on the 1700 block of South 18th Street. The teenage boy was shot once in the hip and the girl was struck in the shoulder, police said. She was brought by ambulance to another medical center that police did not share. Authorities said both wounded teens were placed in stable condition. No arrests were reported immediately following the double shooting.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a man who they say opened fire on a police officer and security guard outside a Philadelphia nightclub over the weekend. According to investigators, the suspect got into a fight with a security guard inside the club on the 4000 block of Lancaster Street early Saturday morning. Jason Hendershot from the Philadelphia Police Department said the fight started when the suspect left the and tried to re-enter without paying again.The fight spilled outside the club and police say the suspect walked down Lancaster Street to retrieve a gun from his car.

Authorities have charged a man with kidnapping for allegedly abducting a two-year-old boy in rural Pope County. POPE COUNTY (FOX 9) - The man who authorities say kidnapped a 2-year-old boy in rural Pope County last week, triggering an AMBER Alert, allegedly used a window to abduct the child from the room the boy shared with his mother while she was out working and other members of the family were sleeping, according to a criminal complaint filed in district court today.The Pope County Attorney's Office has charged Victor Ramirez, aka Benigno Alvarrez, with kidnapping the boy from a home in the small town of Westport, Minnesota, on Thursday, March 17.

NEW YORK - A man is in critical condition after being run over by a car doing stunts in Lower Manhattan Saturday night.Video released by the NYPD shows a red two-door Infiniti sedan doing donuts near Vandam Street and Greenwich Street near Hudson Square just after midnight early Saturday morning. As the driver continued to spin his car, several spectators stepped out from the surrounding crowd, appearing to pull out phones to film the stunts.One man, a 23-year-old, fell in front of the car and was run over by the car.Police say the 23-year-old suffered a fractured skull, brain injury, and severe trauma to the body. RADNOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Police across the country are warning parents about the dangers of the Orbeez Challenge as they see a rise in incidents involving the gel pellets and toy guns. In Pennsylvania, four teenagers are in trouble after firing a gel pellet gun at a group of students outside of a middle school. RELATED: Police warn some social media 'challenges' can lead to hackers gaining personal informationLaw Enforcement in Florida is also warning residents about the challenge after a Volusia County woman was struck in the arm walking with her child and three people were hit by pellets in Deltona. Police are warning parents and schools about the dangers of the Orbeez Challenge.  According to police, the Orbeez Challenge is a viral social media trend that encourages people to shoot Orbeez water beads and gel pellets from air guns. Packs of the popular children's toy can come with up to 500 Orbeez and 1500 Orbeez seeds, according to the manufacturer. The gel beads are typically created with water, but many conducting the challenge have begun freezing the beads to intensify their effects. Chris Flanagan, the Superintendent of Police in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, said the challenge is concerning because the toy guns being used are often altered to look like real weapons. When the challenge was done outside of Radnor Middle School, students and staff began running and the school restricted activity in the area, according to Flanagan. "These challenges seem like they are funny," he says.

Deon Hudson, 25, is facing charges connected to illegal straw purchases of several firearms.  (Bucks County District Attorneys Office)PHILADELPHIA - Detectives from multiple agencies have announced the arrest of a Philadelphia man accused of illegally purchasing guns from various firearm stores in Pennsylvania. The investigation was a joint operation involving the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to authorities, 25-year-old Deon Lamont Hudson of Philadelphia was arrested on Friday. He was charged with 39 counts of unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm and conspiracy to commit the unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office announced.Investigators say Hudson purchased 16 firearms at 8 different gun stores across Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties between August 2020 and November 2021. According to authorities, he would then illegally transfer the purchased guns to others who cannot legally purchase firearms. Two of the guns were recovered on teenagers within 50 days of their purchase date, according to police. RELATED: Ghost guns are a growing concern in Philadelphia as gun violence rises, AG saysAdditionally, one of the guns was linked to two shooting incidents in Philadelphia, authorities say. Investigators were able to develop their case against Hudson after data showed multiple purchases of the same make, model and caliber of gun within days and weeks of each other, police say. "By using data and intelligence facilitated by our Track & Trace program, this joint investigation linked two of the guns straw purchased by the

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - Police in Camden County have located a teenager with autism who went missing over the weekend. Police say the 16-year-old was reported missing after last being seen on Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m. The teen was seen at his residence on the 3700 block of Garfield Avenue. Later that day, he was seen on surveillance video at 4:00 p.m.

NEW CASTLE, Del. - Police have arrested a man accused of attacking a driver and threatening the car's passengers in New Castle, Delaware, on Sunday night, according to Delaware State Police. Authorities say 29-year-old Brandon Norman of Bear, Delaware, was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault, aggravated menacing, terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of a child and numerous traffic violations. According to police, troopers responded to the intersection of Springfield Boulevard at 5:26 p.m.

Altajier Kyell Robinson (Northampton County District Attorney's Office)  EASTON, Pa. - Authorities in Northampton County have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the shooting deaths of two teens on Monday, March 14. The Northampton County District Attorney says Altajier Kyell Robinson turned himself in on Sunday afternoon. He was wanted in connection with the deaths of 17-year-old D’Andre Snipes and 18-year-old Kavan Figueroa. Around 4 p.m. Monday, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Washington Street for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and found Snipes and Figueroa in the front seat of a white BMW SUV suffering from gunshot wounds.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. - Four teenagers were arrested nearly a month after they allegedly pushed another teen into traffic, causing him to be struck by a car and critically injured, according to Hemet Police. 15-year-old Angel Botello Hernandez was riding his skateboard on February 28 near the intersection of Stetson Avenue and Seven Hills Drive in Hemet. According to police, a group of teens met him at the corner and an altercation occurred, resulting in Hernandez being pushed into traffic and hit by a moving Tesla. WILLINGBORO, N.J. - Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina is asking for the public's help identifying the driver who fatally struck a man in Willingboro on Friday. According to Coffina's office, a man in his 30s was killed just after 2 a.m. on Garfield Drive near Eastbrook Lane. The man, whose name has not yet been released, was found dead a short time later, the prosecutor's office says. According to authorities, the man died from "massive internal injuries." "This case is being actively investigated, and we are appealing to anyone who has relevant information to contact us immediately," Coffina said.

RIDLEY PARK, Pa. - An investigation is underway in Ridley Township after the skeletal remains of a person were found in a car submerged in water on Saturday. A source tells FOX 29 the family of a man who went missing 19 years ago received a tip that his car was in a waterway near Stingers Waterfront in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. According to the source, the man's family hired a private dive team to investigate. A source tells FOX 29 that the family of a man who went missing 19 years ago hired a private dive team to invesigate reports of skeletal remains in the water in Ridley Township.  Investigators with the Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office were also present at the active scene, FOX 29 confirmed. This is a developing story.

NORFOLK, Va. - A Virginia newspaper reporter was one of two people killed during a shooting early Saturday outside a restaurant and bar, authorities said.Sierra Jenkins, 25, who covered education and schools for The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after the shooting outside Chicho’s Pizza Backstage, according to officials.Norfolk police detectives were investigating the shooting, which also resulted in injuries to three others. Jenkins was caught in the crossfire as she was leaving the bar, restaurant manager Rory Schindel told the newspaper.

PHILADELPHIA - Two people were injured after a gunman opened fire into a group of people in North Philadelphia, according to authorities. Police say the incident happened early Saturday morning around 1:45 a.m. Officers with the 22nd district responded to a report of a shooting on the 1800 block of W. Diamond Street, according to police. Officers met a group of pedestrians who alerted them that two people were shot, authorities say. According to police, a 19-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man suffered from gunshot wounds. Both say they were standing on the street when a car, possibly orange or red in color, stopped in the street and let out a passenger, authorities say. Police say the victims told investigators the passenger who exited the car had a gun and began firing into the crowd of people standing at the location. The suspect got back into the car before it drove westbound on Diamond Street, according to investigators. Both injured victims were transported to the hospital where the woman, who was shot in the foot, is in stable condition.
