Formula One could return in early July after the coronavirus pandemic, meaning the season could get underway at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
That’s according to Aston Martin Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner, who insists a number of procedures will have to be put in place Seven races across the world have already been scrapped as a result of the virus.
The French Grand Prix would also be binned if Horner’s predictions are correct, leaving a total of 12 races to decide the championship.
While maintaining that the crisis was still more important than Formula 1, Horner revealed his hope that the season will get underway on July 5 - the date that is currently penciled in.
