The FA have announced that the prize money for winning each round of the FA Cup has been halved for next season as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
After a 2-1 victory against Chelsea on Saturday, this year's winners Arsenal are thought to have taken home a cool £3.6m, with the Blues receiving £1.8m for finishing runners-up.
Next year, however, the winners will earn just £1.8m, with the runners-up given £900,000. The amount awarded becomes greater the further through the competition side progress, with quarter-final winners, for instance, receiving £360,000.
