FA bosses are ready to use Wembley in the fight against coronavirus. The world famous stadium will be offered to the National Health Service as they look for temporary bases and field hospitals.
It comes after Wimbledon, Lord’s, Twickenham, Silverstone and Cardiff ’s Principality Stadium did the same as sport comes together.
Manchester City have also offered the use of facilities at their Etihad Stadium as sport comes together to help in the wake of the crisis.
The Football Association confirmed they would allow Wembley to be used as the number of cases continues to rise. They have already launched a public campaign involving manager Gareth Southgate and star player Raheem Sterling to urge people to stay at home.
