The number of families across the borough in need of housing support has doubled since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Council staff have also been patrolling ‘key areas’ of the borough late into the night looking for rough sleepers to offer them help and advice.
The four teams are from Stretford and Old Trafford, Sale and Partington, Urmston and Flixton, and Altrincham and Hale. Staff have been visiting hotspots in the borough including parks, car parks, shopping malls and tram stops.
