A family has thanked the NHS for saving the life of their one-year-old girl who is among the youngest in the country to recover from coronavirus.
Agata and Michael Peters, from Coningsby, Lincolnshire, have expressed their gratitude to hospital staff for saving their youngest daughter Leah who they described as a "little fighter." Leah was born prematurely at 32 weeks and five days.
The family knew before her birth that she has a congenital heart defect, but because of her early arrival she also has chronic lung disease.
She recently developed a cough and was admitted to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincs, following a nurse's home visit and tested positive for coronavirus.
